Media storage solution


i idea of having desktop storage , laptop use on go. macbook surely being replaced ipad :p why doesn't apple release low end version of mac pro media storage solution? think imacs serve great purpose desktop, not media storage device. movie , tv show downloading becoming more popular on itunes, users storing ever- growing media collection? sure, can external drive on imac or mac mini storage need second 1 backups well. current mac pros overkill media storage devices in opinion.
