Upgraded my late 2008 LCD. It's possible, and what a difference! Added pics.

i deciding if wanted try , upgrade panel on late 2008 unibody macbook, or buy new macbook. well, since problem have current macbook lcd, decided save lot of money , new lcd.

lot of cs4 work everyday stuff on this. so, don't need top of line, needed lot better had.

original lcd lg-philips lp133wx2-tlc1, apple part 9c89(shame on apple ever using panel). so, after lot of research decided buy lg-philips lp133wx3-tla2. now, macbook id's lp133wx3-tla1 (9c9f), earlier revision. that's fine, tla2.

after following this video(three parts) on youtube, able replace panel.

have have lot of patience, paid off. when turned mb on detected new display , changed default calibration. default calibration perfect. can see every level of black, , colors pop.

if try this, responsibility yours. if melt mb heat gun, own fault. devil may put thought in head, 1 carry out deed. hold responsible, no 1 else.

added couple pictures. first old panel, second new panel. not perfect comparison, first picture isn't focused second. pictures shot 3gs. first picture has faint red light on keyboard. , second picture, keyboard light turned little. in both pictures glass removed. why can see light leak @ bottom both screens.

 

where did buy panel, , have resources information panels compatible mbps?
