i got mom ipad-16gb-wifi mother's day.
@ hotel - activated itunes on netbook , connected fine hotel wifi.
returned home , has been unable work on wifi @ home.
has linksys wrt54gs router set use wep-128 , 26-character hex key. have connected macbooks, iphones, , sorts of windows hardware no problem using 26-hex character key password
ipad connected network (e.g. password correct) not valid dhcp address; netbook working fine.
switched linksys wpa2 - , same thing happens. netbook connects ipad not address. again, note if key wrong, ipad tell it's wrong.
switched security off on linksys - same thing. connects, not dhcp address.
turned wpa2-personal on on linksys. netbook connects fine. ipad connects not valid ip address linksys. so, tried static address (192.168.1.2) , still not connect on network.
thoughts? wifi software issue? hardware?
the first thing update linksys wrt54gs router latest firmware. check here: http://homesupport.cisco.com/en-us/wireless/lbc/wrt54gs/download
not give details on wifi settings are. please clarify each field set to. note static ip address not work correctly if duplicates 1 in use or if not specify dns address.
