Imported US iPad in UK - Soft keyboard '$'

having being lucky enough have managed grab ipad, i've been going mad soft keyboard.

whatever setting use in 'international' (which set language 'english' , region format 'united kingdom') , keyboard (english - british). puts $ sign on keyboard default currency key. can hold finger on $ sign , £ sign however.

no offence users, it's beginning irk me have after setting keyboard , international settings uk/british.

ideas?

 

sounds odd dont have problem... based in uk imported ipad (leicester btw )
