iPad 3G Advice? Should I get one?

hi,
have ipod touch 32gb , 15" mbp. refuse pay $70 month iphone, , biggest draw ipod touch (the reason use it) don't have wifi everywhere. ipad 3g seems compromise, less cost wifi everywhere, big iphone without phone fine because dedicated phone doesn't drop calls.
however, struggling paying $630 price point plus $40 case, plus tax, , in 6 month apple releasing new ipad camera, more memory , lower price (as apple does).

guys think, should go it, or wait?
if next gen ipad totally awesome, how think lose flipping current 1 new one?
advise!

 

well, i'm in same boots you, have iphone 3g , found mywi jailbreak app uses iphones 3g , sends wifi, made decision easier go wifi model , have iphone on me @ times, point. have ever looked @ mifi? it's mobile wireless router carry , have 3g/4g speeds anywhere in world? mifi data charges more reasonable ipads
