Time machine backing up 100's of gigs every backup?!

ok hadnt backed macbook pro in on month , backed yesterday , backed 158gig. ok thought because hasnt backed in long time lot has changed. go today routine backup , wants 148 gig backup! havnt changed besides wireless password! on this? starting annoy me because ive never had issue before.

if browse previous backups in timemachine.app, can see previous backups? if not, indicates time machine backup daemon not correctly recognizing previous backups. have way backup database named or xattr of backupd file.

if *can* browse backups - due encryption. encrypting home directory in way, or have large disk image encrypted? encrypted file changes ~50% of bits if single bit changes in plaintext, has backed every time. there way around this, too, called sparsebundling. anyway...ill wait hear you.
