i'm on launch-day 3gs, firmware 3.0, jailbroken purplera1n rc2. not have files backed in cydia). use pc of jbing/iphone stuff, don't have access mac, , i'm not sure itunes have. meaning upgrade , re-jb 3.1.2 time went 3.1.3 out couldn't 3.1.2 signed. want preserve ability unlock in future (for resell value, i'm on at&t) , it's understanding can't current jb method 3.1.3 on 3gs. haven't been forums in few weeks i'm not current have few questions:
1 - has changed in terms of upgrading 3.1.3 , jbing while still preserving ability unlock in futre, or still no go?
2 - new "spirit" jb? allow updrade 3.1.3 , jb preserves baseband/bootroom (whichever 1 deals unlock ability, mixed up)?
3 - friend has refurbed 3gs running 3.1 , wants jb. had original iphone jailbroke knows terminology , such isn't sure hardware/process differences on 3gss told him i'd find out him. instead of starting thread i'll ask here. don't think cares preserving unlocking ability a), can provide steps jbing 3.1, , b), same upgrading 3.1.3 , jbing (with pc way)?

iphone 3.1.3 not unlocked. spirit jailbreak jailbreak , not unlock device. when os 4.0 released public unlock (hopefully) should wait think
