i want wipe system , restore files keep system uncluttered , fresh. use time machine thought don't have backed up. told me once time machine files can accessed user created them (me). if wipe hard drive, user no longer exist. when reinstall os x, new user, new user still able access , copy files time machine drive onto internal drive? know there's feature called "browse other time machine disks" don't know if allows me want , whether conflict new system. know migration assistant don't want use such automatic methods since i'm afraid restore problems old system.
in short, able files 1 one (not "all or nothing" migration assistant) time machine when have clean, freshly reinstalled os x, possibly different username? or work if type in exact same user name using now?
come on, please answer?
