what guys think system of upgrading...
buy mac, sell next year pay upgraded model , doing on again every year.
how spending every year towards cost of new mac minus resell value of old mac? $1000 more or less? i'll keep mac in mint condition if helps. if i'm going buy mac i7 imac , upgrade there.
here's little context: i'm entertaining idea of building hackintosh upgrade 1 or 2 components every year instead of buying brand new mac. stability , high maintenance making me have second thoughts (i use proapps). game periodically upgrading video cards ritual.
mostly pointless?
almost less $1000, depends on year-to-year upgrades are.
don't see why because of usual headaches accompany transferring everything, getting settings work before, dealing problems of new generation, etc. c2d-to-i* significant upgrade "pro" user, subsequent speed bumps i* processors won't be.
