i don't see why data caps necessary. i'm seeing on this thread , people aren't using data much. in case, there no need cap them @ arbitrary value. if 98% of users won't affected--they don't use more 2 gb--, still means 2% getting screwed.
i've been doing calculations, , don't understand why cap in place (other increasing revenue, of course).
at&t says minority of users using majority of bandwidth. i'm seeing different threads, people aren't using more 2 gb, , people are, using @ 10 gb. of course, there's few people go on 10 gb, they're rare they're pretty statistically insignificant, , if at&t wanted to, terminate accounts they're voilating generic terms of use in contract, that's different discussion.
assuming 98% of at&t's users using @ 2 gb, , rest using 5 times bandwidth, forcing 2% not use more 2 gb, they're reducing network bandwidth 8%. don't think freeing 8% of network worth annoying many customers. besides, entire 2% use majority of network, say, they'd have use more 52 gb month. , since of don't close 2 gb month, number higher.
luckily still have choice of keeping our unlimited plan. $5 more month, can sure we'll never need higher plan, since there doesn't seem higher plan 3 gb $35 (datapro plus $10 gb). hope means we'll getting more consumers, besides $5 "discount."
