my son , both have mac book pros , wireless network running @ home. have snow leopard, , comcast 12mb cable internet. using 2 year-old linksys wrt160n router going through own motorola surf board sb6120 modem. it's been fine last couple of months after switch at&t, every , then, seems lose ip addresses , connection, end having call comcast reset them end. i'm beginning thing perhaps it's time new router. stranger still have service , son, 20 feet away in room, loses or vice-versa.
esteemed opinions on this? think it's router or setting? if router, recommend in way of dual-band, perhaps dual radio, wireless n-router? appreciated.
i use airport extreme dual band, , have no problems. it's nice router boot. imo
