i have macbook pro 13 inch 2010 model hooked nec multisync ea231 wmi external monitor. monitor supposed have resolution of 1920 x 1080, computer recognizes 1600 x 900 highest resolution. i've tried both mirrored , extended desktop, , i've hooked monitor through dvi adaptor , through displayport cable. apple support person suggested using dual-link dvi adaptor, according apple site shouldn't necessary 1920 x 1080 resolution (i've heard it's buggy piece of hardware). suggestions getting optimal resolution?
if mirror wont support full resolution properly. there should not issue displaying 1900x1080 via minidisplay port dvi adapter. did adapter?
dual-dvi, that's not correct, need dualdvi cable resolutions above 1920 × 1200 (understands why ppl make fun of support ppl)
