hi, have turned imac on , and notice barcode lines running through centre of screen 1 side another. it's visible wallpapers apart black ones , it's visible on web pages in same place. know is?

i believe it's lcd issue, rather graphics card or logic board, although i'm not quite sure. common problem older imacs - imac g5 has 3 of them , counting. it's unfortunate see affects newer imacs well. live mine since has been out of warranty several years.
bring authorized service provider (the apple warranty year, correct?) , should sort out.
