Macbook Pro 13" last model, not the newest one *deal?*

i have opportunity relatively new macbook pro best buy (it returned few days ago) $1026 (canadian , u.s. dollars) taxes in.

first mac , wanted know if deal or not?
i'd using surfing, photoshop , possibly video editing (nothing heavy videos though).
processing speed more drastic in new 1 on older one?

or better off spending few more hundred , going newer model?
