i have source material sony hd camcorder 1920x1080p 60fps in h264 m2ts files. goal edit said content in imovie 09 (for simplicity - have fce 4) content playable on ipad atv.
did use handbrake change files m2ts m4v format. using normal preset changed resolution 1280x720 (and deinterlaced set fast) (note did not change fps setting left @ default said same source)
made files 1280x720 30fps. worked fine imovie , 1 exported played great on ipad. understand these not work on atv because can play 1280x720 @ 24fps.
test put exported file imovie handbrake , again used normal changed frame rate 23.976 , set average bitrate 6000 (thats used "hd' content atv. exported , file came out fine. no stuttering , very little if loss in quality.
haven't tried yet file "should" play on atv correct?
there simpler way of doing this? should set frame rate 23.976 when first encode m2ts m4v? not expert @ video encoding/resolution/hd stuff. suggestions me?
