itunes reported corrupted file on 80g video ipod , suggested restore, restore button wasn't available. computer froze held power button shut off waited ipod eject, unplugged it, shut down apple logo appeared, followed language select , menu. no songs or videos had on viewed said memory full. plugged in tried restore on itunes , said there error , couldnt restore. shut down computer tried again system message came let gave me option of erasing on disc(it referred ipod disc) did it, able restore it. put few songs on before froze again, shut off computer , ipod erased itself. when plug ipod computer shows on desktop not in itunes. symbol ipod on desktop not ipod usual picture of hard drive. i've uninstalled , reinstalled itunes few times no luck. anyway restore ipod without itunes? sorry length. appreciated!
