hello, looking buy macbook pro ( 1st). leaning towards 15 inch i7, wasnt approved credit card (-_-), have sacrifice nice i7 because wallet isnt fat. college student, own 17+ inch lenovo, fine, sucks carry around! thinking of getting 13 in noticed doesnt have intel hd graphics....
im not planning run hard-core programs adobe cs5 constantly, play around it, want learn mac os (terminal-wise), intentionally wanted mac school fascinated power & speed. 1st mac last me @ least 5 years (more better). suggestions? thank you!
even low-end macs can expected relivant 5 years. longevity...well, using powermac 2003 , ibook nineteen-ninety-nine!!

who, nvidia in macbook pro 13" fine. have last gen macbook pro 13" , run doom 3 @ high settings 79fps , cod4 on medium-high settings. take note 320m in new macbook pro said twice fast mine...so...
also, understand power goes long way in 'nix systems. macos x perform better on equal hardware windows, it's fact. it's light weight , smart, i'm running leopard (c.2007) on 2003 powermac 768mb of ram , feeling no hurt what-so-ever.
if want portability sufficient power, 13" way go! thing make better, in opinion, if 12" 4:3, 12" powerbook g4love small notebooks power.
btw, 13" macbook pro (last gen) main computer , i've never been hindered when editing graphics , hi-def video , running dozen applications @ same time.
