with new tighter resolution of 17" , 15" macbook pros (one-third or more pixels), wonder whether apple 1 day same 24" display have going on. instead of 1920x1200, might see 2240x1400. crazy think this?
ask because i'm mulling on 15" mbp 256mb ram or more expensive 1 512mb ram. according barefeats, difference means nothing 1920x1200, on larger displays crucial.
have crappy asus 24" monitor now, 256mb model should suit me fine, if there 2240x1400 1 released, pounce on right away...then regret not having spent $400 512mb vram model.
so. overthinking this?
[note: don't care processor speed, i5 vs i7 wash; in fact, prefer keep machine cooler, , assume i5 runs cooler i7.]
1) yes, on thinking this
2) apple @ mercy of lcd manufacturers other display makers.
3) there not high-rez 24" panel available now, , panel manufacturers not have incentive make one. however, 27" lcd panel (like in imac or dell u2711) 2560x1440. if ever aspire drive 1 of 512mb mbp may investment.
4) apple rumored have such 27" display ready release in june.
