today bought "dock extender cable", plugged tomtom car kit (that used 3g iphone) , 32 gb wifi-only ipad.
and voilà: working navigation solution!
, ipad, it's quicker , smoother 3g iphone.
"one more thing" 2 times: mounting solution ipad (son not happy holding time) , navigon come update of app fit ipad's screen...

don't maps bad since native resolution quite low since they're made iphone display. , how mount ipad on dash in secure way doesn't impede visibility of road?
