is else having problem/know problem?.. working fine week, starting on monday been saying "not charging" today hasn't said charging once... checked connections , tried charger old mbp, still nothing

getting 'not charging' , what's more entire mbp not function without mains power. if there no battery there. pulling out magsafe causes instant shutdown, if machine put sleep first.
have reset pram , smc, run diagnostics @ startup , reinstalled osx.
going store tomorrow night
