i have mid 2009 13in macbook pro, running latest version of snow leopard.
i'm having trouble number of applications quitting unexpectedly @ random times shortly after launching them. notably safari, itunes, apple mail , spotify.
i've tried reinstalling each application (apart mail), repairing disk permissions , tried them on new administrator user account, none of has worked.
think may have these applications trying access internet.
i'm using chrome web browsing , vlc playing music while try , fix this. (chrome seems work fine)
i'm going guess next step suggest attempt full reinstall of os, can't install disk @ parents house (i'm living @ university).
take apple store, on past experience "geniuses" in there less useful me , internet connection.
appreciated. can post error logs generated if required.
snow leopard 29$ either buy or visit geniuses, ask them reinstall os x
