Continuous System Crashes / Failures

hey all,

have received 3rd "you need restart computer" fatal message in 10 minutes, , believe might have external harddrive. have attached recent error log jut below:

great if me out.

this section:

code:
kernel extensions in backtrace (with dependencies): com.apple.filesystems.ntfs(3.2)@0x5b586000->0x5b5e5fff bsd process name corresponding current thread: umount
is clue. looks trying eject (unmount/umount) drive when kernel panic occurred.

hard drive formatted using windows ntfs filesystem. since kernel extension standard apple-supplied one, can't blame third-party ntfs driver. so, there must filesystem on drive make apple ntfs driver die spectacularly.

i'd suppose ntfs filesystem on drive has corruption tripping driver. can connect drive windows pc , run 'chkdsk' command on repair problems? it'd best use windows machine repairs, since filesystem's native windows.

luck!
