i once had remove screen iphone 3g fix stuck home button. after put again no longer had sound ear speaker. have replaced actual speaker , tried stuck headset/headphone fix , still have no sound. not fun have public conversation around me anytime calls. if knows of tips or appreciated. iphone jailbroken , running 3.1.2.
you can test resistance on ribbon cable if know doing. it's 27 ohms on last 2 contacts on ribbon copper side up. check when reassemble phone. bet have broken ribbon - delicate.
