i have snow leopard (w/ recent updates installed). , reason when select "get info" finder, information pane opens section labeled "more info" contains basic info relevant file. example- png & jpeg files don't display image size (wxh).
looked @ friends computer, running same version of snow leopard, , when go info displays lots of relevant metadata, psd, dng , other file types. can please tell me how turn on extended metadata support info (inspector)?

still problem in osx 10.6.8 on external drives
this still problem; on windows te exif readily available;
not image dimension visible on osx, when using external hard drive.
when copy image on 15" mbp 2011, image dimensions visible under "more info" option in get info menu item......now have disappeared.
osx software flaw; not hardware issue.
how know certain?
when copy image onto mbp's internal hard drive.....the image dimensions , other basic info visible!
know fix? apple?
