i've got 1 airport extreme hooking cable modem local network through bridged ae , airport express wireless. have 15 hardwired drops , 3 wireless clients. poor latency , speed intermittently , trying track down problem. have mac mini server runs accounts , centralizes time machine backups, doesn't else.
i'm wanting find sort of method see going through router , how bandwidth it's taking. don't know if i'm using 20% or 100% - flying blind. given upload speed caps , i'm trying offsite backup of files, need understand network upstream usage throttle effectively.
home use, 5 computers plus mini/server, several nas devices, multiple internet connected gaming devices (xboxes, wii, etc). installing sort of client software doesn't work - need monitor actual router or other device can insert.
home use, budget limited. i'd spend couple hundred bucks if have easy use solution show me doing where.
