this problem '06 mbp cd (not c2d) 2.16. when it's running on battery only, charge indicating 99-100%, shut off without warning. there's no problem when connected ac. i've conditioned battery pretty , coconutbattery seems imply well, showing 108 loadcycles.
if replacement battery solves problem, might worth it, older machine i'd hate spend money , find out it's else.
ideas?
plus it's running pretty hot. smcfancontrol shows high 72c -about 176f! although down 38-40c @ times.
my '08 mbp 2.5ghz did same thing. frustrating because randomly shut off when running on battery. brought apple, ran tests , determined both battery , logicboard bad. whacked $325 fee replacement parts out of warranty. have been more money because logicboard alone $800-900 @ time.
bring apple , see say.
