i have question hoping able me with. running windows on late '06 mbp (see sig specs). dual booting usinf boot camp. going switch vmware try. have had 2 main problems windows:
1) touchpad. have read , seems there nothing can except buy new mac.
2) if in windows , click 'restart,' machine not restart. shuts down , optical drive makes obnoxious noise makes when starts up, far goes.
here question: if install vmware , point bootcamp can have option of running both, still have these 2 problems while running in vmware?
guess answer 'no' since running in osx. it's fact pointing amounts 'busted' instance of windows worries me.
maybe need test , see...
else have problem (2) restart? machine? have never been able find fix this.
especially since trial free, should do.
start giving vm 2 gb of ram , see how goes you.
