Mac Mini stuck at loading screen, please help

hi guys have problem.

booted mac mini last monday find reason stuck in loading screen displays grey background, apple logo , round loading swirly sign.

have tried running disc utility , trying repair dosent detect errors, tried clearing pram according resetting mac's pram , nvram , still no joy.

ive done total reinstall of osx , went through hour , half of erasing , reinstalling osx supplied discs, still wont past loading screen. i've used usb hard drive aswell , tried installing osx onto see if hard drive error still gets stuck @ same loading screen.

strange thing can access safe mode without problem

have done numerouse hours of searching web without luck cure specific problem, posting last attempt see if of more technology minded guys out there know of or can me work through solution, if i'd eternally greatful use mac mini quite alot.

specs mac mini 1.66ghz intel duo core 2, 1gb ram, 10.6 osx (upgraded 10.5) 100gb hard drive

have started in verbose mode , got alot of info dont understand, ive attached screen shots of loading screen gets stuck in verbose upon 4 attempts @ booting mini.

to clear, mini boots installer dvd fine? if so, there's nothing wrong computer, there wrong hard drive. have external firewire (or usb) hard drive can use install os , see if can boot it? (fw better if have it.) if so, connect drive , boot installer dvd , after selecting english, launch disk utilities menu. i'd disk repair of internal first , if comes no problems, i'd go ahead , initialize external drive (make sure set guid partition table) , install os onto external drive. when done, reboot while holding option key, select external drive when prompted boot volume.
