Disk Format Choice in Disk Utility

hi,

have external hard drive i'm planning use itunes music library, however, plan access hard drive both mac , windows pc.
know format fat32 (ms-dos format) in disk utility, however, understanding, wont allow files larger 4gb ... problem in future.

if format mac journal extended format, still able read , write windows pc? ideas, or other work arounds this?

just download ntfs-3g mac , can read , write ntfs without issues
