i'm graduating high school in less month. received 17" i5 mbp weekend aunt graduation. i'm going penn state next year, has plenty of wifi capabilities ( buying wifi, not 3g model). i'm in need of new ipod (my 32g ipod video ancient , headphone jack works on 1 side, , 8g touch not enough storage).
since need new ipod, torn between 32g ipod touch or keeping 2 ipods have , getting ipad. 500 dollars bit of stretch if going spend 300 on touch, figure 200 won't kill me.
have amazon kindle already, looking @ ipad's reading template , it.
worry portability, if tough carry around, figure part i'll traveling backpack, , might nice not have lug 17" everywhere if can use ipad instead.
guess main question, being taken account, think worth in situation ipad? able use in place of laptop in lot of cases?
given outlined, go ipad - won't disappointed. biggest variable portability , while relatively light, carrying ipad alone everywhere old... backpack, no problems @ all.
