in way, i'm grateful relative fail of google docs (specifically text docs) on ipad. husband , had lot of shared docs things household shopping lists , itineraries, , made me go out , make better use of tech have---sync'd shared calendars , such. way using google docs kind of dumb, in retrospect.
in other words, if neither google nor apple gonna make effort, other solutions fill gap instead.
