i getting new mbp, however, have software on older mac on new mbp. there anyway able use/transfer programs if 1 has registered them online? or new computer require new installation disc , serial? anyway can install w/o original discs -my installation discs @ parents home on east coast, moved west coast , don't have them me. can have them send them me, if older computer registered, can register new one?
after buying new mbp, can not afford go out , buy software again! software concerned having work/school:

final cut pro

time machine.
have got leopard on older mac. absolutely best way transfer software, time-machine on external hard drive.
if running leopard create time machine back-up. when switch on new machine given options, 1 of restore time machine back-up. transfer applications , data. carry licences across, there not need reregister applications.... it's brilliant!
