Which Mac Mini For My Media Server Needs?

i'm looking centralize media storage in our home , love feedback on mac mini best suit needs, pretty modest. goal machine will:

• house our media (itunes, movies/tv) streaming 2 mbps & 1 tv
• be central location time machine backups on 3 computers
• run air video server live conversion streaming media ipad
• run plex viewing media on attached hdtv
• ability simultaneously stream media tv in 1 room while live encoding hd source material playback on ipad

regardless of mini end with, plan remove superdrive , install 2 500gb momentus xt hybrid hard drives (raid 0?) time machine backups computers on external fw800 drives have. said, '09 mini 2.0 c2d have enough horsepower, or need current gen model?

 

the cpu difference isn't big in new models... c2d mini should fine.

build cheapish pc purpose more power , lot more hd space, that's opinion. can 1 same price mini
