so bought 23" samsung lcd june 09 mbp. 2.8ghz 15". plan run in clamshell mode , made little stand put laptop underneath , monitor on top of. problem, when wifi gets weak. when play games ping around 250 when in 40's. figured because laptop under stuff moved out , left. same problem. started leaving laptop open problem persisted. moved laptop left of display , still, same problem. opened on left , problem solved. idea why happening , if clamshell mode kills wifi reception? thanks!
so, i'm posting in here since have problems wifi when connect mbp (2010) external display. plug in, connection lost.
read problem occurs , tried every solution found including:
- greater distance between external display , mb
- lid closed/open
- change wifi channel
nothing has worked far.
cannot due disturbances caused display because wifi works fine when display connected windows machine while mbp directly next it.
got advice?
considered:
a) buying wifi router supporting n-standard
b) buying mini displayport/dvi adapter apple (cause mine not)
hesitate spend more money on when might nothing.
