17" MBP on lap for long periods of time... How comfortable?

hello,

i'm torn between 15 mbp , 17, , wondering if uses 17" on lap long periods of time (many hours).

how find 17's weight, heat , maneuverability (sp?)? comfortable? bearable? regrettable ... should have got 15".

if find 17" comfortable on lap, you're size of nfl linebacker, please indicate!

btw, i7 run hotter or cooler i5?

every 'notebook' gets hot these days,
find not made sit on legs
made sit on desk
, quite hot after using while
