so received corsair v128 ssd earlier today , have loaded stuff on , got set up. ran tests , seem averaging 240mb/s seq. reads , 190mb/s seq. writes, , peaking @ 260mb/s read , 205mb/s write, corsair advertises.
wanted run sort of test see how fast thing boot up, , thought of pretty one. remembered iphone 3gs pretty quick @ booting (about 30 sec) decided match them against each other. turned both of them off few min, , pressed power button on both.
result? ssd quicker @ booting iphone 5 seconds, , had enough time me type in password , usable desktop before iphone got lockscreen. impressive.
thought i'd share. made me feel better purchase.
you make me wanna buy ssd badly. lol don't have money buy 1 that's @ least 200gb =(
have enough around 100gb need 100gb. oh congrats. i'll wait few more years till ssd prices drop more
